About The Role

This position requires the successful candidate to work on a W2 directly with FDM. We cannot accept C2C, 1099 or employment sponsorship (eg. H1-B) for this position.

FDM is seeking a Technical Delivery Manager in either Pennington (NJ), Charlotte (NC) or Phoenix (AZ) to work for our client within the Financial Services sector. This role is initially for 12 months and will be hybrid with requirements to be in the office 3 days per week.

The Technical Delivery Manager will lead change initiatives within the Wealth Technology department, specifically focusing on Institutional Retirement solutions. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Change Management Leadership: Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure smooth transitions during system upgrades and process enhancements within the Institutional Retirement sector.
  • Project Execution: Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Agile Methodology Implementation:  Coordinate and lead Program Increment (PI) planning sessions to align teams on objectives and deliverables. Leverage relevant Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools to monitor progress, manage dependencies, and optimize resource allocation across multiple teams. Advantage if have previously served as Scrum Master, facilitating Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to promote iterative development and continuous improvement
  • Jira Management:  Utilize Jira for tracking and managing work items, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Product Ownership: Collaborate with stakeholders to define product vision and roadmap, ensuring that deliverables meet business needs and add value to the Institutional Retirement offerings.
  • Budget Management: Oversee project budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Test Case Development: Develop and execute test cases to validate system functionalities, ensuring that all changes meet quality standards before deployment.
  • Release Container Oversight: Manage release containers, coordinating with development and operations teams to ensure seamless deployment of new features and updates.
  • Quarterly Planning: Lead quarterly planning sessions, setting objectives and priorities that align with the department's strategic goals.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analyses to assess the impact of proposed changes, supporting data-driven decision-making processes.


About You

Requirements:

  • This role requires a self-starter adept at project execution
  • Strong foundation in Agile methodologies.
  • The ideal candidate will possess experience in managing budgets, developing test cases, and overseeing release containers.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint for executive presentations and quarterly planning sessions is essential.
  • Previous experience working in a large financial services organization
