FDM is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer to work for our client within the financial sector in Plano, Texas, Charlotte, NC or Pennington, NJ. This role is initially for 12 months with potential to extend and will be hybrid with requirements to be in the Plano office 3 days a week and will work on the Core Technology Infrastructure group.

This role is ideal for a candidate with strong experience in Ansible, Terraform, CI/CD, and scripting, who can lead onboarding efforts and scale proof-of-concept (POC) environments into enterprise-ready solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviews the configuration of applications servers to confirm that CI/CD service platform onboarding pre-requisites are available and configured properly
  • Monitors and responds to alerts based on the key performance indicators (KPI) for the services supporting CI/CD and escalated events and issues from DevOps Engineers, creating issues and action-plan summaries for stakeholders
  • Mentors and clarifies issues and practices for DevOps Engineers
  • Works with Infrastructure, Solutions Engineers, and Site Reliability Engineers to understand changes in CI/CD service platform components and behaviors and planned changes in monitoring and alerting capabilities
  • Responds to risk or audit identified issues with access control processed designed for compliance with firm separation of duties practices, and software release management standards and policies
  • Executes change tickets for CI/CD service onboarding and decommissioning using approved change management processes as scheduled by Software or Infrastructure Engineers
  • Configures and maintains the set of tools and services that provide Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) services and validates access control mechanisms for the Software and Infrastructure Engineering team throughout the software development lifecycle

About You

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years in a DevOps or SRE role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Ansible and Terraform.
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD principles and tools.
  • Proven experience onboarding teams and scaling DevOps practices.
  • Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Background in financial services or regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana).
