About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Project Manager in Risk Remediation to work for our client within the insurance sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Alderley Park.

Our client is seeking a talented Senior Project Manager to lead a series of critical remediation initiatives following their annual risk acceptance review. This role will focus on planning and delivering projects related to data retention and data anonymisation, ensuring alignment with our risk and security objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of multiple remediation projects across data and security domains
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring the right resources are aligned to each workstream
  • Act as a bridge between Business and Technology, translating requirements and ensuring mutual understanding
  • Engage and manage stakeholders including the Data Protection Office, Technology Teams, and Governance Leads
  • Develop and maintain project plans, risk logs, and dependency maps
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance and external regulatory requirements

About You

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a Senior Project Manager position
  • Proven experience in project management within financial services or pensions sectors
  • Strong understanding of data lifecycle management, including retention and anonymisation practices
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to manage dependencies across multiple teams and initiatives
  • Proficient in Microsoft platforms (e.g., Project, Excel, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Experience working with data protection offices or in regulated environments
  • Knowledge of risk management frameworks and governance processes
