About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy partnering with leading organisations to deliver high-performance IT solutions. We are currently seeking a Software Engineer to join our client in the financial sector. This is a great opportunity to work on impactful software solutions used across global trading, risk, and financial reporting platforms.

In this role, you will be involved in the full software development lifecycle – from gathering requirements to designing, developing, testing, and deploying applications. You’ll contribute to building both back-end services and front-end features using a mix of modern technologies such as Java, C#, ASP.NET Core, React, and SQL Server. The role may also include developing APIs, supporting performance optimisation, and working on cloud-oriented systems.

You’ll join a collaborative, Agile team and gain exposure to CI/CD practices, cloud platforms, and enterprise-level development. FDM provides ongoing learning, mentoring, and access to globally recognised training to support your growth as a technology professional.

About You

What we expect:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Approximately 3–5 years of experience in software development and at least B2 level of English.
  • Solid experience in building and maintaining backend applications using technologies such as Java or C# with ASP.NET Core and Entity Framework.
  • Familiarity with frontend development using React, or openness to working across the full stack.
  • Strong understanding of OOP principles and software design patterns.
  • Experience in developing RESTful APIs and working with SQL Server or other relational databases.
  • Comfort with Agile development, CI/CD pipelines, and version control tools like Git.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to work in a structured, fast-paced environment.

What we offer:

  • A clear and supported career path with access to training and certifications.
  • Opportunities for re-skilling and upskilling through continuous learning.
  • Ongoing support from FDM teams and client-side mentors.
  • Real-world project experience and access to a global professional network.
  • Benefits: Insurance, medical care, well-being support, sports card, and training courses.
