About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a DevOps Engineer to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in London.

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack solutions to support mission-critical applications and internal platforms
  • Build, manage, and cloud infrastructure optimise (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with a focus on security, reliability, and cost efficiency
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to increase deployment speed, consistency, and reliability
  • Implement advanced monitoring, alerting, and self-healing capabilities to ensure high system availability
  • Partner with development teams to integrate Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices into all stages of the software lifecycle
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent solutions
  • Lead and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across infrastructure and software domains
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across technical and business teams to deliver high-impact, value-driven outcomes

  • In-depth knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) and modern deployment practices
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a mindset focused on resilience and root cause resolution
  • Proven ability to work with and influence a wide range of stakeholders across technical and non-technical domains
