About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior PowerApps Developer to work for our client within the public sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in one of the offices around the UK such as London, Leeds, Manchester, York, Edinburgh or Newcastle.

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior PowerApps Developer to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable business applications using Microsoft Power Platform. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across business units to translate complex requirements into intuitive, high-performing apps that drive operational efficiency and digital transformation. The ideal candidate will have strong stakeholder communication skills and have excellent understanding of relational databases.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop custom business applications using PowerApps such as Canvas & Model-Driven
  • Integrate PowerApps with Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL, and other data sources
  • Automate workflows using Power Automate and optimize data flows across systems 
  • Collaborate with business analysts and end-users to gather requirements and iterate solutions 
  • Ensure best practices in governance, security, and performance across Power Platform solutions 
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to internal capability building 
  • Stay current with Microsoft roadmap and proactively suggest platform enhancements
  • Manage troubleshooting problems and enhance app performance

About You

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in PowerApps development (Canvas & Model-Driven) 
  • Strong proficiency in Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power BI integration 
  • Solid understanding of relational databases, REST APIs, and JSON 
  • Experience with Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, AD) is a plus 
  • Familiarity with ALM practices and DevOps pipelines for Power Platform 
  • Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills 
  • Microsoft certifications (PL-100, PL-400) highly desirable
