About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale data architecture solutions.This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a strong technical foundation and a passion for modern data platforms and engineering practices. The opportunity is fully remote with a contract term of four months. 

 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable, enterprise-level data architectures.
  • Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business intelligence and analytics needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust data solutions.
  • Guide the development of data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and automation strategies.
  • Ensure data architecture aligns with best practices and organisational goals.

About You

 
  • Around 10 years of experience in a similar role
  •  Proven track record in delivering enterprise-scale data architecture in complex environments.
  • Strong data modelling expertise, including conceptual, logical, and physical modelling.
  • Experience with Kimball star schema design methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of cloud data platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure and Databricks.
  • Familiarity with modern data engineering practices, including data pipelines and automation.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
