About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Software Quality Specialist to work for our client within the financial services sector. This is initially a fixed-term contract until the end of the year, with the opportunity to extend, and will be a hybrid role based in Kraków, Poland.

Our client is seeking a motivated manual Software Tester to join a collaborative technology team supporting the delivery of high-quality software solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their QA career within a leading financial institution, working alongside developers, Product Owners and senior testing professionals.

The successful candidate will contribute to software testing activities across a range of projects, supporting the delivery of reliable, high-performing applications through structured testing, defect management and quality assurance best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Support software testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Create, maintain and execute test cases and test scenarios.
  • Perform functional and regression testing to ensure application quality and stability.
  • Identify, document and track defects through to resolution.
  • Work closely with developers, Product Owners and testing teams to support successful project delivery.
  • Maintain test documentation and contribute to testing best practices.
  • Utilise testing and collaboration tools to support delivery and reporting activities.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

Requirements

  • 2-3 years' experience in manual Software Quality Assurance, Testing or a similar role.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • Fluent English skills, with a minimum B2 level.
  • Experience creating and executing manual test cases and documenting test results.
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence in an Agile delivery environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Availability for full-time employment.
  • Currently based in Poland with the legal right to work in Poland.

Desirable Skills

  • Exposure to financial services or banking environments.
  • Experience with test management tools and defect tracking processes.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
  • ISTQB Foundation Certification or similar qualification.
