About The Role

FDM is a global technology consultancy that partners with leading organisations to deliver innovative IT solutions. The Client Engagement Manager (CEM) is a pivotal role responsible for leading the successful, high-quality, and timely delivery of services and projects to clients.

This position requires taking ownership of delivery outcomes, driving operational excellence, and ensuring strong client engagement. You will lead project coordination, proactively manage risks, and act as the primary point of contact for clients.

The CEM is expected to influence decision-making, guide teams, and ensure alignment between client objectives and FDM’s delivery capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage key client relationships, serving as the primary contact for all delivery matters, understanding their objectives, anticipating future needs, and influencing decisions.
  • Proactively identify growth opportunities and strengthen partnerships across the client organisations
  • Manage daily delivery operations to ensure projects meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards, while guiding teams to maintain high performance
  • Oversee project budgets and financial performance, supporting commercial discussions and identifying growth opportunities while safeguarding profitability
  • Lead and mentor consultants and delivery teams, promoting collaboration, accountability, and ensuring clear objectives are set with resources needed to succeed
  • Drive continuous improvement, managing risk, and uphold governance standards to optimise delivery processes for efficiency and quality
  • Contribute to proposal development including Statements of Work (SOWs) and Change Control Notices (CCNs) by providing input on scope, resource planning, and estimation to support competitive and accurate proposals
  • Deliver engaging presentations and workshops for clients and internal stakeholders, acting as a confident public speaker and thought leader
  • Create impactful content and lead knowledge‑sharing sessions to promote best practices and drive innovation

About You

Requirements

  • 7+ years’ experience in project delivery or client-facing leadership roles, preferably in a consulting or IT related environment
  • Proven ability to lead delivery teams and manage complex projects
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to lead delivery of technical projects and services with strong client engagement and relationship-building skills
  •  Excellent organisational and leadership capabilities
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive delivery outcomes
  • Good understanding of financial tracking and commercial awareness

Desirable

  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile
  • Sector knowledge in financial services, technology, or regulated industries
