About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy delivering client and industry driven solutions through our 5 core specialist Practices; Software Engineering, Data & Analytics, IT Operations, Change & Transformation, and Risk, Regulation & Compliance.

FDM is seeking a Senior Data Quality & Controls Lead located in Bedford to support a project in the Banking sector. Involvement in this project is anticipated to last initially 1 year but may be extended.

This role will be hybrid with requirements to be in office days per week.

About You

Role Overview:

  • Support IT controls documentation and testing across QTS applications, identifying and addressing control gaps to strengthen alignment with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Work with CM data governance, data quality controls, and cross-functional teams (CM stakeholders, application teams, Chief Data Office, Risk, and Finance)
  • Partner with Business/Technology Owners and Data Stewards to deliver business outcomes and create value.
  • This role demands flexibility to support global collaboration across North America, EMEA, and APAC during peak periods with stringent deadlines.
  • Fair understanding of automation and project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline plus 6+ years in execution and delivery; 3+ years with leading banks on data governance and controls frameworks with strong tech architecture awareness; knowledge of testing automation and tools; proficiency in Tableau, Confluence, JIRA, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint); Python and PostgreSQL; knowledge of Capital Markets end-to-end trade flow, Operations, Finance, and Risk processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking; excellent written and verbal communication; collaborative, organized approach to managing competing priorities.
