About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Digital Assurance Lead to work for our client within the public sector. This is initially a 6month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester or Newcastle.

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate advocate of usercentred design who will ensure digital services are designed, built and continuously improved in line with the Government Service Standard. The role plays a key part in helping teams do the right things, in the right way, at the right time, and supporting governance around spend controls and service assessments.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring ongoing compliance for Digital & Technology spend, providing advice, guidance and identifying spend before commitment.
  • Running an effective spend controls process and meeting reporting requirements.
  • Maintaining the Digital Pipeline and supporting colleagues in tracking digital spend.
  • Coordinating Service Standard assessments and peer reviews across delivery phases.
  • Leading broader assurance activities including discovery health checks and mock assessments.

About You

  • Deep understanding of digital service delivery, including agile and service design.
  • Strong understanding of the Government Service Standard and assessments (assessor experience preferred).
  • Ability to present to and challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Experience advising teams on building digital services aligned to the Service Standard.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in digital service delivery, usercentred design or related fields.
