About The Role

This position requires the successful candidate to work on a W2 directly with FDM. We cannot accept C2C, 1099 or employment sponsorship (e.g. H1-B) for this position.

FDM is seeking a IT Project Manager located in Charlotte to support a project in the Financial Services sector. Involvement in this project is anticipated to last initially 18-months but may be extended.

This role will be <hybrid> with requirements to be in office days per week.

Overview


 digital banking platform supporting treasury management, payments, liquidity, FX, and reporting for small business, commercial, and large corporate clients globally.
The IT Project Manager drives delivery of technology initiatives that enhance and modernize capabilities, coordinating across business, engineering, and operations teams to advance the bank’s digital treasury strategy.

 Key Responsibilities

Project & Program Delivery

  • Manage cross‑functional technology projects spanning modules (payments, reporting, liquidity, integrations).
  • Oversee end-to-end project lifecycles including planning, requirements, execution, risk mitigation, testing, and deployment.
  • Use standard project tools and methodologies to drive timely project completion and transparency.
  • Lead horizontal support functions such as onboarding project team resources, managing shared sites (e.g., SharePoint), and coordinating business analysts.

Stakeholder & Business Partner Engagement

  • Partner with product managers, treasury operations, and technology teams to support enhancements and strategic roadmap execution.
  • Serve as a project point of contact for Line of Business and senior product leadership on complex initiatives.
  • Facilitate clear communication among engineering, QA, business stakeholders, and operations teams.

Process Improvement & Change Management

  • Evaluate current processes and recommend strategies for improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and execute change management plans to sustain new system capabilities and user adoption.
  • Ensure improvements align with digital treasury innovation standards and client experience goals.

Technical & Platform Responsibilities

  • Coordinate delivery of Reporting, Payments, and other platform enhancements, ensuring quality, security, and scalability.
  • Support feature launches, integration work, and lifecycle management across applications.
  • Collaborate with development teams to triage issues, support testing cycles, and oversee release readiness.

Team Leadership & Culture

  • Foster a positive project culture with transparent communication and strong team engagement.
  • Support knowledge sharing, documentation quality, and cross‑team collaboration.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5–8+ years of IT project management experience in a large enterprise environment.
  • Experience managing software delivery projects, ideally in financial services or payments.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum or hybrid SDLC methodologies.
  • Excellent skills in communication, risk management, and cross‑functional coordination.

Preferred

  • Treasury management, payments, or banking technology experience (CashPro or similar platforms).
  • Familiarity with digital banking systems, reporting tools, APIs, and security considerations.
  • Experience with enterprise project tools and collaboration platforms such as SharePoint.
