About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Project Manager to support one of our financial‑services sector clients. This is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract with strong potential to extend. The role will be hybrid, based in their Cheshire or Edinburgh offices.

Our client is delivering several critical regulatory and technical change initiatives and requires an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex, multi‑stream programmes, drive delivery excellence, and ensure regulatory commitments are successfully met.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Lead complex regulatory and technical change programmes spanning multiple business areas.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation through deployment, often operating across multiple stages simultaneously.
  • Build strong relationships with internal leadership and external third‑party suppliers to manage cost, risk and value.
  • Promote continuous improvement and effective cross‑team collaboration.
  • Deliver a portfolio of regulatory change initiatives, which may include:
    • Inheritance Tax on Bereavements
    • FATCA & CRS reporting
    • Chargeable Events linked to UK Savings rates

About You

  • Proven track record of delivering large‑scale projects/programmes in financial services or similarly regulated environments.
  • Experience leading technical teams to deliver systems change, ideally with a regulatory focus.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills up to executive/C‑suite level.
  • Highly competent with planning tools, financial controls, and risk frameworks within project settings.
  • Strong commercial judgement, proactive mindset, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Deep understanding of various project delivery methodologies and ability to tailor approach to the initiative.
  • Skilled in building high‑performing, engaged teams.
