Technology Architect- London

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Technology Architect (Support) to work for our client within the Financial Services sector. This is initially a 6‑month contract with excellent prospects to extend and will be a hybrid position based in London.

Our client is seeking a skilled Technology Architecture Specialist to support the Technology Architect in shaping foundational cloud and infrastructure capabilities aligned to enterprise architecture and strategic business goals.

Responsibilities:

• Bring together foundational cloud and infrastructure components to ensure alignment with the organisation’s enterprise technology blueprint.
• Work closely across technology and business domains to deliver capabilities that improve quality and support strategic objectives.
• Act as a domain lead for a delivery squad, providing hands‑on architectural guidance.
• Apply strong architectural discipline and solution design expertise to support change and transformation programmes.
• Participate in solution governance and review solution/system architectures for compliance with standards and guidelines.

• Strong understanding of enterprise technology architecture, cloud foundations, and infrastructure patterns.
• Experience working across business and technology teams in complex environments.
• Ability to lead architectural work within agile delivery squads.
• Solid background in solution design and transformation initiatives.
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in technology architecture, cloud engineering, or infrastructure design.
• Insurance experience would be desired.
