About The Role

This position requires the successful candidate to work on a W2 directly with FDM. We cannot accept C2C, 1099 or employment sponsorship (e.g. H1-B) for this position.

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy delivering client and industry driven solutions through our 5 core specialist Practices; Software Engineering, Data & Analytics, IT Operations, Change & Transformation, and Risk, Regulation & Compliance.

FDM is seeking a DDI Engineer located in Plano, TX or Charlotte, NC  to support a project in the Banking  sector. Involvement in this project is anticipated to last initially 12 but may be extended.

This role will be hybrid with requirements to be in office 3 days per week.

About You

The DDI Engineer is responsible for designing tools and services within a technical domain that support business strategies while adhering to architectural governance and standards. This role focuses on creating infrastructure tools, facilitating technical solution deployments, and continuously improving efficiency in tool/service implementation and maintenance. The 
engineer will provide technical leadership for DNS, DHCP, and IP Address (DDI) services, ensuring alignment with business requirements and enhancing availability, functionality, and security.

Requirements:
• 5 - 7 years of leadership experience as a technical lead
• 5 - 7 years of hands-on experience with BlueCat Networks products, BIND DNS, and 
DHCP protocols
• 5 - 7 years of experience with IP Address Management
• 3 - 5 years of experience with VMWare

• Excellent verbal skills to communicate effectively with people who have varying 
degrees of technical expertise
• Experience running projects, tracking tasks, and timelines.

Responsibilities
• Provides subject matter expertise and consulting services on a range of technologies and assists Technical Analysts and Infrastructure Engineers to ensure that technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standards
• Assists with translating business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks for deployment in compliance with architecture standards and policies
• Assists in the evaluation of reference models, blueprints and playbooks to ensure they are fit for purpose
• Develops software solutions to address manual and repeatable work or inefficient processes
• Conducts on-site evaluations of third-party products being considered for firm adoption
• Promotes an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers
• Contributes to the creation/selection of functional and non-functional product evaluation requirements within and across domains
• Provides technical leadership and delivery strategy for DNS, DHCP, and IP Address (DDI) Services to align business requirements to technical solutions
• Works with lines of business to translate/align business requirements for delivery of the DDI services
• Analyzes and understands a variety of existing and emerging business requirements, interfacing with technology engagement teams as a seasoned DDI engineer/administrator.
