FDM is seeking a Trade Support Analyst located in Jersey City to support a project in the  sector. Involvement in this project is anticipated to last initially 1 year but may be extended.

This role will be hybrid with requirements to be in office 4 days per week.

Job Description 

What is the opportunity? 
 
FDM is looking to hire a Trade Support Analyst to join its Market Business Service team. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring timeliness, accuracy, booking, and direct support of all Fixed Income Derivatives, MM/FX, and Corporate Treasury Trading desks in order to facilitate profitable trading and efficient interaction between the Trading and the BCS group. The incumbent will participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and PIV (Post Implementation Verification) cycles for system enhancements, IT infrastructure changes, reconciliation fixes/enhancements, vendor/industry change requests, and new business initiatives. 
 
What will you do? 
 
Ensure that all trades are input correctly by traders in Infinity and Murex systems, and that trades are properly assigned with back-office flags for downstream confirmations, rate resets, and payment processing if applicable. 
 
Responsible for ensuring that all late deals from the previous day are verified and booked. 
 
Verify that all new deals, amendments, cancellations, assignments, and buyouts are authorized by traders in accordance with the Bank’s Standing Order policies. 
 
Ensure Front Office personnel input and amend trades in a timely and accurate manner in various Capital Markets systems (e.g., Murex, MarkitWire, Bloomberg (VCON), and TradeWeb). 
 
Actively monitor processes and workflows between the trading desks and the Operations Group to ensure smooth flow of tickets and information (including amendments, assignments, allocations, buyouts, and cancellations). Identify and recommend changes to improve efficiencies. 
 
Monitor the Assignment Mailbox and inform traders to respond to requests within time-constrained deadlines. Ensure all assignments are completed with notice to parties involved. 
 
Ensure Hedge Fund Company deals are captured, re-allocated, and assigned accurately according to clients’ and traders’ instructions. 
 
Investigate and resolve trade discrepancies on internal MTM reconciliation reports. 
 
Daily review the MarkitWire vs Murex reconciliation reports for SWAP, OIS, Basis Swaps, Fixed/Fixed Swaps, FRA, Cap/Floor, Swaption, and ZCIS. Also review clearing reconciliation reports (CME, LCH, and JPM). If discrepancies are identified, they are investigated and resolved in a timely manner. 
 
Participate in system enhancement, change requests, and new business initiatives UAT. Identify and troubleshoot issues or bugs and assist with JIRA logging, business requirement documentation, testing, and PIVs. 
 
What do you need to succeed? 

High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, ability to learn quickly, and handle high volume. 
 
Ability to work effectively and reliably under pressure with minimal supervision; strong team player. 
 
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. 
 
Working knowledge of Capital Markets operational functions, processes, and organizational structure. 
 
Relevant industry experience with an emphasis on Interest Rate Derivatives products and market practices. 
 
Nice-to-have 
 
Experience or working knowledge of Fixed Income Derivatives products and ISDA terminology. 
 
Experience with User Acceptance Testing. 
 
Good working knowledge of systems such as Murex, SwapsWire/MarkitWire, Bloomberg, and TradeWeb.
