About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking an ECC Operations Engineer to work for our client within the Financial Services sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in Dublin. Our client is seeking support within their Enterprise Command Center, handling monitoring, incident management and infrastructure operations. You will be the first line of defense against infrastructure disruptions and failures, while fulfilling service requests and managing infrastructure and trading outages.

Responsibilities:

Infrastructure monitoring across technology estate
Troubleshoot and remediate IT infrastructure issues
Fulfil adhoc and scheduled operational requests
Collaborate with global teams on production environment health
Write and maintain detailed runbooks
Drive incident management and coordinate outage responses
Document incidents accurately in ITSM tools
Continuous improvement of operational workflows

About You

Requirements:

Basic understanding of Networks (Cisco beneficial)
Basic Linux and Windows operational experience
Degree in IT discipline preferred
Strong collaboration and communication skills
High-level understanding of infrastructure components
Strong problem-solving skills
Detail oriented, strong ownership
Ability to prioritize in fast-paced environment
Knowledge of monitoring tools a plus
Experience running incidents is beneficial
1-3 years of experience in a Support role
Please note this role requires weekend and public holidays coverage
