Software Tester

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Software Tester to join our client in the financial sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in Dublin. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the beginning of their software quality assurance career to join a dynamic and collaborative environment within a financial institution. You will be part of a team that contributes to ensuring that software meets the required standards before reaching the end-user.

As an FDM consultant, you will support the development and delivery of reliable, high-performing software by assisting with test activities across a range of projects. Within the software development and testing lifecycle, you will work alongside developers, product owners and senior testers to help create and update test cases, report bugs, perform basic regression testing, utilise test management tools and prepare test documentation.

We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, willing to learn and enthusiastic about developing their software testing skills. This role is ideal for candidates with some exposure to manual or automatic software QA through studies, internships, courses, or early professional experience, who want to grow their capabilities in a structured and supportive environment. • 2 years of experience in this or a similar role
• Strong understanding of STLC and SDLC
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Postman and similar tools
• Ability to perform different types of testing such as: functional, regression, smoke, integration, and UAT testing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail 
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
