About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Test Analyst to work for our global systems integrator client. This is initially a 6 month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Solihull.

Our client is seeking a Senior Test Analyst to join a fast‑moving digital delivery team within a major Public Sector programme. You will work on the testing of a core web‑based Call Centre as a Service (CCaaS) application that underpins service delivery across people, property, and technology domains. This offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced tester looking to broaden their skillset and take on increasing responsibility across both functional and non‑functional testing activities. As part of a cross‑functional delivery team, you will review requirements, create and execute test cases, prepare test data, raise and track defects, and support client‑side UAT-particularly where direct access to call centre systems is limited- while also assisting with live proving during production deployments.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing requirements and contributing to test planning
  • Designing and creating test scripts and test cases
  • Preparing test data, including working with CSV-based inputs
  • Executing functional and regression test cycles
  • Logging, reporting, and assisting in triaging defects
  • Performing retesting and regression validation
  • Producing clear test summary reports
  • Supporting basic non-functional testing (performance, accessibility, security)
  • Assisting with client UAT activities
  • Supporting live proving and production verification

About You

Must-Have

  • Experience in functional testing of web applications
  • Good understanding of test design techniques
  • Ability to execute tests and log defects clearly and effectively

Should-Have

  • Familiarity with:
    • Jira, Zephyr (or similar test management tools)
    • Automation tools such as Reflect or Selenium
  • Understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to:
    • IVR, API testing, or CCaaS platforms
    • Performance, automation, security, or accessibility testing
    • Power BI or MI reporting

Highly Desirable

  • Welsh speaker
