About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking an Infrastructure Services Manager to support a large-scale financial services environment. This role is offered on a fixed-term contract, initially 6 months, with strong potential to extend. The role is hybrid, based in Edinburgh or Cheshire.

You will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of critical infrastructure services, ensuring availability, performance, security, and operational resilience across core platforms.

Responsibilities:

Own and manage end-to-end infrastructure services within agreed SLAs
Lead 24/7 operational support, including major incident, problem, and change management
Act as the senior escalation point for infrastructure-related issues and risks
Manage third-party suppliers, contracts, and service performance
Lead, coach, and develop infrastructure engineering teams
Oversee delivery of infrastructure change and technical improvements
Ensure services operate within agreed risk and regulatory frameworks
Collaborate closely with architecture, security, and business stakeholders

About You

Proven experience in infrastructure service delivery or IT operations management
Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure (compute, storage, networks, security)
Experience working in regulated or complex enterprise environments
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop technical teams
Strong supplier, financial, and service performance management experience
Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and translating technical issues clearly
Hands-on awareness of operational resilience, incident response, and service stability
