About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Head of Colleague IT Experience to join our organisation within the Life, Pensions and Insurance domain. This is a permanent opportunity offering hybrid working, based in Edinburgh or Cheshire.

This role will lead the evolution of the colleague‑facing IT experience, setting strategy and driving the delivery and adoption of modern workplace technologies. You will play a key role in improving efficiency, service quality and overall colleague experience across the enterprise.

Responsibilities: 
 
  • Lead and manage End User Computing (EUC), Microsoft 365 (M365), Infrastructure Support and workplace technology teams
  • Define and deliver a group‑wide end user device strategy, including lifecycle management
  • Drive adoption of modern workplace technologies, including Digital Experience Management (DEX) solutions
  • Sponsor and deliver workplace technology change initiatives aligned to strategic objectives
  • Own service quality, cyber security compliance and continual improvement of colleague IT services

About You

  • Extensive senior leadership experience in workplace IT or end‑user technology within regulated environments
  • Strong technical background across EUC, M365, infrastructure and modern workplace technologies
  • Proven experience delivering technology change using agile, hybrid or programme delivery models
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to translate business needs into technology outcomes
  • Demonstrable experience managing budgets, suppliers and high‑performing technology teams
