Senior Business Analyst- Remote

About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Business Analyst to work for our client within the UK public sector.

This is initially a 6‑month fixed term contract, with strong potential to extend. The role is predominantly remote BAU, with occasional travel to client offices for workshops and team meetings.

Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to support change delivery with a focus on understanding business needs, analysing current ways of working, and defining clear requirements to support complex regulatory programmes.

Responsibilities:

Work with stakeholders to understand business objectives and user needs
Analyse existing processes, systems and data to identify issues and improvement opportunities
Gather, document and manage business requirements
Support the development of options and recommendations for change
Work closely with project managers, delivery teams and subject matter experts
Produce clear documentation including requirements specifications and impact assessments
Support testing, implementation and transition into business as usual

About You

Proven experience working as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Ability to engage effectively with senior and operational stakeholders
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Experience working in the public sector or a regulated environment is desirable
Experience working in Waterfall delivery environments

Security Requirements:

BPSS clearance required
