About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Delivery Lead/Senior Project Manager to work for our client within the Financial Services sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Edinburgh.

Our client is seeking an experienced delivery professional to support a strategic business change initiative focused on enhancing operational effectiveness and improving customer outcomes.

This role will involve working across teams to assess current ways of working, support process improvements, and help shape and deliver changes to operating models. It is a highly visible position with significant stakeholder interaction, requiring strong communication and delivery expertise.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Lead delivery across a business change programme, ensuring timelines and objectives are met
  • Support the review and optimisation of existing processes and workflows
  • Coordinate activities across multiple teams, including offshore and third-party partners
  • Establish and maintain programme governance, including planning, RAID management, and reporting
  • Engage with senior stakeholders, providing clear updates on progress, risks, and dependencies
  • Drive effective communication across teams to support smooth implementation of change
  • Ensure delivery is aligned with broader organisational goals and operational priorities

About You

  • Proven experience delivering complex business change or transformation programmes
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience working with senior leadership
  • Experience collaborating with suppliers and global/offshore teams
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience producing high-quality reporting and governance materials
  • Strong core delivery skills across planning, risk management, and programme governance
  • Experience working on people or organisational change initiatives
  • Desirable: Exposure to operating model change or outsourcing/insourcing environments
  • Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in project/programme delivery
