About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Systems Analyst (Phinsys) to work for our client within the Financial Services / Insurance (Lloyd’s Market) sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a Hybrid role that will be based in London.

Our client is seeking a Systems Analyst to support the Finance Product Team across the full product lifecycle, with a focus on Phinsys BAU support, continuous improvement and tactical change delivery. The role involves working closely with Finance SMEs and technology teams to ensure stability of finance operations, drive process improvements, and support key activities such as close, reconciliation and reporting.

 Responsibilities: 

  • Provide BAU support for Phinsys, including monitoring performance during finance close cycles and investigating issues
  • Analyse finance data flows, identifying gaps, risks and improvement opportunities
  • Maintain Phinsys configuration (e.g. mappings, posting rules, journal setup)
  • Support delivery across requirements, design, testing, deployment and documentation
  • Manage incidents and backlog through tools such as ServiceNow and Azure DevOps

About You

  • Experience working as a Systems Analyst supporting finance systems (Phinsys experience preferred)
  • Strong SQL and database skills, with the ability to analyse complex data and system configurations
  • Good understanding of finance processes, accounting flows, and reconciliation principles
  • Experience working in Agile environments, including tools such as ServiceNow and Azure DevOps (preferred)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts
  • 8 Years experience in systems analysis within financial services.
