Do you have an interest in Infrastructure Engineering, software architecture design and cloud computing? SRE/Cloud Engineers are responsible for creating infrastructure designs and guiding the development and implementation of cloud applications, systems, and processes. You will help build cutting-edge proof-of-concepts and collaborate with other engineering teams during implementation. The ideal candidate will need to be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced team environment.
Key Job Functions
· Maintain existing monitoring applications and infrastructure for the cloud-based platforms.
· Actively support operational teams and other stakeholder teams to maintain business continuation
and maintain customer satisfaction.
· Work with InfoSec team to remediate vulnerability in a timely manner for the machine and
container images.
· Execute monthly patching cycles and implement patching activities.
· Automate Infrastructure as Code in Amazon Web Services with CloudFormation.
· Write unit tests and integration tests to validate infrastructure code.
· Automate monitoring tools to monitor system health and reliability to support high uptime
requirements.
· Follow the standards for observability, monitoring and alerting and further enhance automations.
Qualifications
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related technical field required.
Minimum Experience
· Minimum 2 years of professional experience managing, monitoring, and improving large-scale and highly available cloud-based platforms.
· Minimum 2 years of hands-on Python experience.
· Hands-on experience in a cloud environment is required.
· Must be available for occasional weekend or non-business hour activity involvement related to
Infrastructure release, maintenance and patching as needed on a rotational basis.
· Experience in configuration, provisioning, managing, and troubleshooting distributed and containerized environments in AWS preferred.
· Experience in serverless architecture including Lambda and Containerization.
· Experience in building custom templates leveraging AWS CFT preferred.
· Experience in building pipelines with CI/CD tools.
· Background in Linux/Unix and Windows administration.
· Hands on experience in following the iterative and agile SDLC.
