About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Project Manager (Agile / Transformation) to work for our client within the Financial Services sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Cheshire. 

Our client is seeking a highly capable Senior Project Manager to support a large-scale transformation programme focused on customer onboarding and workplace modernisation. The role sits within a complex delivery model and requires an individual who can operate across multiple agile squads, manage dependencies, and provide end-to-end planning and coordination across a dynamic and evolving backlog.

Responsibilities: 
 
  • Coordinate delivery across multiple agile squads within a “team of teams” structure, ensuring alignment to programme objectives
  • Manage dependencies, risks, and long-term roadmap planning across workstreams
  • Lead backlog shaping and upfront analysis to ensure work is ready for squad delivery
  • Act as a central point of coordination across internal teams and third-party vendors
  • Provide proactive programme oversight, including forecasting, progress tracking, and senior stakeholder reporting

About You

  • Strong experience operating as a Senior Project Manager within complex transformation or change programmes
  • Good working knowledge of Agile delivery, including Scrum and multi-squad environments
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional dependencies and work within evolving backlogs
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging senior business and technology stakeholders
  • Experience working in Financial Services / Insurance environments preferred
  • Minimum 10+ years’ experience in Project / Programme Management
