About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Delivery Manager to work for our client within the Government / Public Sector sector. This is a fixed term contract running until April 2027 and will be a fully remote role. 

Our client is seeking a Delivery Manager to support the Land Use Planning (LUP) Programme. The programme is currently in its Alpha and design phase and is focused on the development of a digital solution that supports scientific modelling and land use planning decisions, including the assessment and calculation of high-risk scenarios.

The successful candidate will provide additional delivery capacity within the programme, supporting an established Senior Delivery Manager and wider project team. The role will work closely with technical, business and stakeholder groups to support delivery planning, governance and coordination as the programme progresses through its next phases. Support the delivery of the Land Use Planning (LUP) programme, ensuring project activities remain aligned to business objectives and delivery milestones.

Responsibilities: 
 
  • Work closely with the existing Senior Delivery Manager, providing additional delivery support across project and business-as-usual activities.
  • Coordinate delivery plans, sprint planning activities and project schedules across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Produce and manage project reporting, governance updates and delivery documentation.
  • Manage risks, issues, dependencies and assumptions, ensuring appropriate actions and mitigations are tracked and delivered.
  • Collaborate with the BDCM team, project management colleagues and wider stakeholders to ensure effective programme coordination.
  • Support delivery of an Angular based digital platform, working alongside technical teams to manage dependencies and delivery activities.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and communications across business and technical teams.
  • Monitor project progress and help ensure delivery activities are carried out in line with agreed governance processes.

About You

  • 3–5 years' experience working as a Delivery Manager, Project Manager or similar role within digital delivery environments.
  • Experience delivering digital products and services using Agile methodologies and sprint-based delivery approaches.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams.
  • Experience managing delivery plans, project governance, RAID logs, reporting and programme controls.
  • Experience supporting multidisciplinary digital delivery teams through the full project lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with software development environments and working alongside engineering teams.
  • Experience or familiarity with modern web-based solutions, ideally including exposure to Angular technologies.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex delivery environment.
  • Experience working within Government or the wider Public Sector is highly desirable.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain BPSS clearance.
