About The Role

This is a fixed term contract running from until April 2027 and will be a hybrid role based in Liverpool, with an expectation of approximately 3 days per week onsite.

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Delivery Manager to support the CORe Inspection Programme, a business critical initiative transitioning from design into build.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the digital delivery workstream, working closely with the Project Director, Business Design Change Manager and wider programme team to ensure successful delivery of a Microsoft Dynamics based solution. The programme is entering a critical phase and requires an experienced delivery leader who can provide strong governance, delivery oversight and stakeholder management to maintain momentum and drive successful outcomes.

This role will be responsible for managing sprint by sprint delivery, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, maintaining delivery plans and ensuring risks and issues are identified and escalated proactively throughout the build phase.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the digital delivery workstream for the CORe Inspection Programme as it transitions from design into build.
  • Own and maintain delivery plans, ensuring key milestones, dependencies and objectives are achieved.
  • Drive sprint planning, prioritisation and delivery activities across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Work closely with the Business Design Change Manager and Project Director to ensure alignment between business and technical delivery.
  • Produce regular delivery reporting, governance updates and progress reports for senior stakeholders.
  • Identify, manage and escalate risks, issues and dependencies at the earliest opportunity.
  • Coordinate technical teams, business stakeholders and suppliers to ensure effective delivery of programme objectives.
  • Facilitate programme governance, planning and decision making activities.
  • Monitor delivery performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives where appropriate.
  • Act as a key delivery lead within a business critical programme, providing leadership, structure and oversight across the digital workstream.

About You

  • 7+ years' experience working as a Delivery Manager, Senior Delivery Manager or Programme Delivery Lead within complex digital delivery environments.
  • Proven experience leading digital programmes through the transition from design, discovery, Alpha or planning phases into build and implementation.
  • Strong Agile delivery experience, including sprint planning, backlog management and governance.
  • Demonstrable experience managing delivery plans, RAID logs, reporting and programme controls.
  • Experience providing delivery leadership across business critical programmes with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior business leaders, programme directors and delivery teams.
  • Strong risk and issue management capabilities, with the confidence to challenge, escalate and drive mitigation plans.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across business and technology functions.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics platforms would be highly advantageous.
  • Experience delivering digital transformation programmes within Government or the wider Public Sector is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain BPSS clearance.
