About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Content Designer to work for our client within the Public Sector sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role based in one of various locations across the UK such as Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds, Liverpool or Bristol.

 Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Content Designer to lead the creation and improvement of digital content across complex services. You will play a key role in ensuring content is clear, accessible and user focused, using research, data and insight to shape content strategy and improve service outcomes. Working within multidisciplinary agile teams, you will champion user centred design principles, influence stakeholders and help deliver services that are easy to understand and use. 

Responsibilities:

  •  Lead the creation and continuous improvement of digital content across complex services, ensuring content meets user needs and organisational objectives.
  • Use data, research and user insights to shape content strategy and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain content standards, style guides and design patterns to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Lead content prototyping, testing and iteration activities, validating content through user feedback and evidence.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and influence decision making through evidence based recommendations and user centred practices.

About You

  • Extensive experience designing, managing and publishing digital content across complex products, services or programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of user centred design principles, accessibility standards and digital content best practices.
  • Proven experience using user research, analytics and data to drive content improvements and business outcomes.
  • Significant experience working within agile, multidisciplinary delivery teams and providing content design leadership.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring Content Designers, while helping to build content capability across teams.
  • Strong understanding of content lifecycle management, content strategy, prototyping and continuous improvement processes.
