About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a .NET Software Developer to work for our client within the Public Sector sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role based in London,Bristol, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Newcastle.

Our client is seeking a Mid-Senior .NET Software Developer to maintain and enhance a critical Investment Programme platform supporting government housing investment schemes. Working across modern .NET applications, Dynamics 365 integrations and cloud-based services, you will help deliver high-quality, user-centred digital services while contributing to technical design, code quality, security and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain and enhance .NET applications, domain services and Dynamics 365 integrations supporting key business processes.
  • Build accessible, user-focused web applications using ASP.NET Core MVC, Razor Views and GOV.UK Design System components
  •  Design and implement business functionality using CQRS, Domain-Driven Design principles and workflow state machines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, performance bottlenecks, integration failures and data inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, business analysts and wider technology teams while mentoring junior developers and contributing to code reviews.

About You

  • Strong commercial experience developing applications using C#, .NET 8 and ASP.NET Core MVC. 
  •  Experience with CQRS, MediatR, Domain-Driven Design, dependency injection and modern software architecture practices.
  •  Proven experience developing and consuming REST APIs, working with integrations and maintaining large-scale enterprise applications.
  •  Experience writing automated unit and integration tests using xUnit and FluentAssertions. 
  •  Strong understanding of Git, pull requests, CI/CD pipelines, application security, authentication and authorisation principles.
  •  Experience with or knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Azure DevOps, Azure-hosted services, Application Insights, Redis and TypeScript is highly desirable.
  •  Excellent problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to deliver work independently and collaboratively.
