About The Role

DM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior .NET Software Developer to work for our client within the Public Sector sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role based in either London Bristol, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Newcastle.

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior .NET Software Developer to lead the design and delivery of complex features across a critical Investment Programme platform. Working within a modern Microsoft technology stack, you will play a key role in technical decision-making, architecture, mentoring and the delivery of secure, scalable digital services. This is an opportunity to combine hands-on development with technical leadership while helping shape the evolution of a large-scale enterprise platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development and delivery of complex software solutions across web applications, domain services and CRM integrations.
  • Develop and maintain applications using C#, .NET 8, ASP.NET Core MVC, CQRS and Domain-Driven Design principles.
  • Oversee Dynamics 365 integrations, workflow services, plugins and supporting business applications, ensuring reliability and maintainability.
  • Drive engineering best practices through code reviews, testing strategies, observability improvements and architectural governance.
  • Mentor developers, support technical investigations and collaborate with architects, product owners and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

About You

  • Extensive commercial experience developing enterprise applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core MVC and modern software engineering practices.
  •  Strong expertise in CQRS, Domain-Driven Design, SOLID principles, object-oriented programming and scalable solution architecture.
  • Experience leading the technical delivery of complex projects, making architectural decisions and mentoring development teams.
  • Strong understanding of authentication, authorisation, application security, data protection, caching, concurrency and system resilience.
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and production support processes.
  • Ability to diagnose complex production issues and communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Desirable experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Azure-hosted services, Redis, TypeScript, Application Insights, Serilog and GOV.UK Design System standards.
