About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Project Manager to work for our client within the Insurance sector. This is initially a 6month contract with the potential to extend and will be a Hybrid role that will be based in London.

The project is focused on File Retrieval, a strategic initiative designed to enable users to retrieve files from any file storage location without requiring teams to duplicate documents across multiple repositories. The target operating model will allow individual teams to continue following their own filing conventions while providing a centralised capability for end users to efficiently locate and retrieve required files through a unified retrieval solution. The proposed solution combines a third-party indexing platform with an internally developed user interface to provide streamlined access to indexed content.

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the programme as it enters a critical pilot phase.

Responsibilities:

  • Be highly experienced and capable of operating independently from day one.
  • Rapidly establish themselves within the project and contribute immediately.
  • Provide strong delivery leadership throughout the pilot phase.
  • Drive accountability across project stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Monitor progress against committed deliverables and milestones.
  • Identify risks, issues, and dependencies proactively.
  • Challenge constructively where required and maintain delivery momentum.
  • Engage confidently with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure project governance, reporting, and execution remain on track.

About You

  • Proven Project Management experience delivering technology or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience managing pilot deployments and subsequent large-scale rollouts.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent planning, governance, risk, and dependency management capabilities.
  • Experience working with third-party suppliers and internal development teams.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments and managing multiple workstreams.
