About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Data Quality Analyst to work for our client within the Insurance sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with strong potential for extension and will be a remote role.

Our client is looking for an experienced Data Quality professional to join their Data Governance team and support enterprise-wide data quality initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing data, identifying quality issues, performing root cause investigations and developing data quality controls that support accurate and reliable business reporting.

This role would suit an individual with strong SQL skills, experience in data quality management and a proven ability to work with both business and technical stakeholders to improve data accuracy and governance standards.

Responsibilities:

Profile and analyse data to identify data quality issues, trends and anomalies.
Perform root cause analysis and support remediation activities.
Develop, maintain and monitor data quality rules and controls.
Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand data quality requirements.
Translate business requirements into effective validation and monitoring logic.
Create and maintain SQL queries used for data analysis and investigation.
Produce and maintain documentation, audit evidence and reporting materials.
Track and communicate progress, risks, issues and emerging data quality trends.
Support governance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of data quality processes and controls.

About You

Strong SQL skills with experience in data analysis, validation and troubleshooting.
Experience performing data profiling and root cause investigations.
Experience developing and maintaining data quality rules and controls.
Ability to translate business requirements into practical validation logic.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong documentation skills with attention to detail.
Experience working within data governance or data management functions.

Desirable Skills:

Experience with Snowflake.
Experience working with data quality tooling such as DQPro or similar platforms.
Understanding of Data Governance and Data Stewardship principles.
Knowledge of data lineage, metadata management and issue management processes.
Previous experience within insurance, financial services or other regulated environments.
Familiarity with audit, compliance and regulatory data requirements.
