About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy. We are hiring AVP Quality Control Analysts for our client, a leading international bank. The role is hybrid and based in Glasgow. The initial contract runs for approximately 2 months, with a clear pathway to permanent employment with the end client, subject to performance and commercial confirmation.

You will join a high-priority Financial Crime programme that is strengthening quality standards across the bank's operations. The work directly supports the bank's control environment and its risk-reduction plan. Every review affects a real customer outcome. The team's credibility rests on independent, well-evidenced decisions.

You will apply careful, independent judgement on complex KYC, AML and Financial Crime cases. Your findings will shape better outcomes at scale.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform independent quality control reviews on completed Financial Crime, KYC and investigation cases.
  • Assess whether decisions, evidence and documentation align with internal policy and regulatory expectations.
  • Identify control weaknesses, recurring themes and root causes, and propose clear corrective actions.
  • Evaluate decision rationale, case narratives and evidence quality against defined standards.
  • Produce clear, concise findings and reports for team leaders and governance forums.
  • Escalate material issues and emerging risks through the agreed route.
  • Contribute to calibration and to the ongoing refinement of QC methodology.

About You

About You:
  • Around 5 years' experience in Financial Services or Banking.
  • Track record in Quality Control, Risk, Compliance, Financial Crime, KYC, AML or Investigations.
  • Comfortable reading and challenging case files, with clear written reasoning.
  • Working knowledge of UK Financial Crime regulation and typical control frameworks.
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and standard reporting tools.
Nice to Have:
  • ICA, ACAMS or an equivalent Financial Crime qualification.
  • Exposure to large-bank remediation or regulator-driven improvement programmes.
  • Experience calibrating QC standards or coaching peers on quality outcomes.
