About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking Case Workers (Associate & AVP) in Financial Crime to work with our client, a leading international bank.

This is initially a two-month assignment through FDM and will be a hybrid role based in Glasgow. This is more than a short-term assignment. It is designed as a pathway into a permanent career with the end client. You will initially join through FDM for two months, with the end client strongly intending to recruit successful individuals into permanent roles afterwards.

You will join a high-priority Financial Crime programme handling complex cases and supporting important risk decisions.
The role is hands-on. You will review evidence, identify risk indicators, apply policy and make clear, well-supported recommendations.

Your work will contribute to strong customer outcomes, financial integrity and an effective control environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of Financial Crime, compliance and risk-related cases.
  • Review customer, account and transactional information to build a clear case picture.
  • Assess risk indicators and identify concerns, anomalies or triggers requiring further review.
  • Gather, validate and analyse relevant information to support case decisions.
  • Apply policies, procedures and risk frameworks consistently.
  • Maintain complete and accurate case records with clear supporting rationale.
  • Escalate complex, sensitive or higher-risk matters through the appropriate channels.
  • Meet agreed quality, productivity and service standards while supporting investigation and remediation activity.

About You

We are looking for people who combine analytical thinking with sound judgement and clear written communication.
 
You should be comfortable taking ownership of cases, working through detailed information and explaining how you reached your conclusions.

Requirements:
  • Approximately 3 years’ experience within Banking, Financial Services or another regulated environment.
  • Experience managing case-based workloads within Financial Crime, KYC, compliance, risk or customer review.
  • Working knowledge of AML, KYC and Customer Due Diligence principles.
  • Experience reviewing documentation and identifying relevant risk indicators.
  • Strong written communication and accurate case-recording skills.
  • Ability to manage competing cases while maintaining quality standards.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word and standard case-management or reporting tools.
  • Experience with Enhanced Due Diligence, investigations, screening, fraud, sanctions or remediation would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • An ICA, ACAMS or similar Financial Crime qualification would also be advantageous.
