About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking an End User Computing Senior Engineer to work within the insurance sector.
 
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, based in London. The role requires regular attendance at a London office, particularly to support hardware testing and other activities that need to be completed on site.
 
You will join an End User Computing team responsible for maintaining reliable EUC services and supporting business-as-usual operations, continuous improvement and project delivery.
 
This is a hands-on technical role involving the resolution of third-line escalations, the delivery of internal changes and contributions to wider projects. You will also help develop the organisation’s EUC strategy, designing and implementing solutions that improve services and the overall end-user experience.
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Resolve third-line EUC escalations and support the continued operation of end-user computing services, minimising disruption to users.
  • Deliver small changes, continuous improvement initiatives and technical activities across internal and external projects.
  • Design and implement effective EUC solutions that support the organisation’s technology strategy and future requirements.
  • Communicate technical solutions clearly to senior stakeholders and wider project teams, including colleagues without a technical background.
  • Maintain accurate and accessible EUC documentation, assess the impact of proposed changes and produce clearly documented change requests. 

About You

  • Proven experience working as an EUC Engineer or Senior Engineer in a comparable environment, including acting as Technical Lead on EUC-related projects.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, including the management of Windows, Android, iOS and macOS devices.
  • Practical knowledge of Windows Autopilot, Windows 11, Windows Autopatch, Azure Virtual Desktop, Microsoft 365 and Windows 365.
  • Experience producing low-level and high-level technical designs, supported by strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with a proactive and adaptable approach to managing priorities and working both independently and collaboratively.
