About this role

The HR Manager role is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for overseeing the full spectrum of human resources functions within the U.S. region. This role ensures the effective delivery of HR services, including employee relations, compliance, performance management, onboarding, and employee experience. The HR Manager partners closely with business leaders and global HR counterparts to align local practices with FDM Group’s broader people strategy, while ensuring compliance with U.S. employment laws and fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the U.S. People Team (People Operations and Consultant Experience divisions), ensuring high-quality service delivery and alignment with business goals
  • Oversee onboarding processes to ensure a smooth and engaging experience for new hires
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across FDM U.S. and global teams
  • Provide expert guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including coordination of open enrollment and vendor relationships
  • Ensure all HR policies and practices are fully compliant with U.S. federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Align U.S. HR processes with the broader Group HR strategy while adapting to local requirements
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new HR policies and procedures that reflect legislative changes and industry best practices
  • Lead and support employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions
  • Coordinate and monitor the performance appraisal process to support employee development and organizational effectiveness
  • Oversee the employee experience across all employee groups, ensuring individuals feel supported, recognized, and satisfied throughout their journey at FDM
  • Recommend and maintain HR systems, databases, and filing structures to ensure data integrity and accessibility
  • Continuously evaluate and improve HR processes to enhance efficiency and employee experience
  • Oversee background checks and vetting procedures in accordance with client expectations and legal standards
  • Lead internal audits of HR processes and documentation at least twice annually to ensure compliance and readiness

About You

 What we look for
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience, with a current PHR or SHRM certification
  • Proven experience leading and managing HR teams in dynamic environments
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. employment laws and regulatory compliance
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Skilled in prioritizing tasks, managing multiple projects, and performing under pressure
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and secure cost-effective solutions
  • Analytical and process-oriented, with a methodical approach to problem-solving
  • Passionate about fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace culture
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms, preferably SAP SuccessFactors or similar systems
