About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Business Change Project Manager to work for our client within the public sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Warrington.

Our client is seeking a highly capable and client-focused Business Change Project Manager to lead and deliver change initiatives as part of a major client transformation programme within the Justice sector. You will embed within the client’s delivery teams, driving business readiness, stakeholder alignment, and the successful adoption of new processes, systems, and capabilities. 

This is a hands-on role that requires someone who is comfortable operating in complex, fast-paced environments, balancing delivery rigour with stakeholder sensitivity and change agility. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of business change workstreams within the context of the end-client’s transformation programme, ensuring alignment with programme goals and stakeholder expectations
  • Develop and execute business change strategies including impact assessments, stakeholder mapping, training needs analysis, communications planning, and readiness assessments
  • Work closely with client stakeholders across business and technical teams to ensure effective engagement, communication, and change adoption
  • Collaborate with Programme Managers, PMO, and technical teams to ensure change activities are fully integrated into project plans and timelines
  • Drive organisational readiness activities, ensuring operational areas are prepared and equipped to adopt new ways of working on go-live
  • Support clients in defining and tracking benefits, and embedding sustainable change practices post-delivery
  • Represent the consultancy professionally, bringing structured thinking, delivery focus, and trusted advisory skills to every interaction

About You

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience delivering business change within large, multi-disciplinary programmes for end clients
  • Prior experience working within or for a consultancy, systems integrator, or professional services environment
  • Strong knowledge of change management methodologies (e.g. PROSCI, ADKAR) and ability to tailor to client context
  • Effective project management skills (e.g. planning, RAID management, stakeholder reporting)
  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organisation, including senior stakeholders and operational users
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous and evolving programme environments
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
Desirable Requirements
  • Change Management certification (e.g., PROSCI, APMG) 
  • Project Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, AgilePM, PMP) 
  • Experience in delivering change within [Insert Client Sector: e.g., public sector, financial services, etc.] 
  • Familiarity with digital transformation, ERP rollouts, or operating model redesign
