About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Programme Manager to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 12-month contract with the potential to extend and will be remote role that will require some occasional travel to London and Ireland.

Our client is seeking a Programme Manager with at least 10 years’ experience support their project to develop and implement activities to transform business processes and activities to make the organisation more adaptable to customer needs. This includes creating strategic alignment through Objectives, and Key Results (OKRs), agile planning at an enterprise level (both annual and quarterly), and through simplifying governance and tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large scale programmes for Bank of Ireland in line with defined scope, on time and within budget
  • Confirm the scope of a proposed programme, and clearly define the objectives of the programme. Ensure programme delivery is coherent with the overall programme objectives and related business strategy
  • Manage programme deliverables and ensure that they are to the appropriate levels of quality, in accordance with the programme plan
  • Ensure that the investment approval and review process is followed and be adaptable to the recommendations of any health check /programme reviews
  • Manage the programme budget on behalf of the Executive Sponsor, monitoring and reporting the costs against the delivered and realised benefits
  • Establish and maintain an appropriate programme governance structure and effective communication processes
  • Manage programme issues, risks, dependencies and change control within agreed processes to ensure delivery of programme results within the agreed programme scope
  • Be responsible for the Quality Assurance and the overall integrity of the programme and specialist standards as appropriate
  • Ensure that solutions are ready to be transitioned to live
  • Maintain & monitor standards, controls, processes and solutions, to minimise business and IT risk and ensure full compliance with all Group, Legal and Regulatory requirements and standards

 

About You

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Senior Project/Programme Management ideally in the banking sector
  • Practical experience and detailed knowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
  • Demonstrated delivery of multi-year, highly complex programmes of delivery
  • Experience writing and securing approval of significant cases for strategic organisational objectives
  • Headed large, dispersed teams and partner organisations as well as the ability to manage teams working remotely
  • Proven ability in developing and maintaining relationships with senior leaders, project teams and particularly third party service providers
  • Able to articulate strategic requirements into appropriate solutions
