About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Lead Business Analyst to work for our client within the insurance sector. This is initially a 7-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role based in Alderley Park.

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior or Lead Business Analyst to support the integration of an outsourced international book of business into their internal systems. The role will focus on the 360 projects within the Long Standing Customer and Annuities portfolio, involving complex financial products across multiple regulatory jurisdictions.

This is a high-impact role requiring strong analytical skills, stakeholder engagement, and experience in long-term financial products. The successful candidate will play a key part in delivering a strategic migration project involving UK and German books of business. The migration project will require operational and data platform integration, regulatory alignment across jurisdictions, replatforming and servicing transition and collaboration with stakeholders multiple locations.

Responsibilities

  • Document and validate detailed business and technical requirements for the migration of UK and German books of business
  • Ensure alignment with the agreed design approach and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams to meet governance obligations
  • Engage and coordinate with external vendors throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain a target-state data dictionary and lead data mapping activities
  • Define and document data quality rulesets to support robust migration outcomes
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, and operational leads to drive successful execution

About You

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Senior or Lead Business Analyst in financial services, especially within long-term financial products (e.g., whole life investment bonds)
  • Strong understanding of cross-border regulatory environments and international financial product structures
  • Proven ability in data analysis, including familiarity with ETL processes and data quality frameworks
  • Comfortable working across product, process, and data streams simultaneously
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to influence at all levels
  • Organised, detail-focused, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with legacy or outsourced books of business
  • Knowledge of German financial regulations or markets would be advantageous
