About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to work for our global Security & Defence client. This is initially a 3-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a remote role.

The Full Stack Developer will support the continued build-out and enhancement of the UK Data Platform, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performance data integration and delivery across multiple business domains. • Build, optimise, and maintain front-end interfaces (React/TypeScript) and back-end services (Java/Python) integrated with Azure SQL and Data-Access (home-grown application).
  • Support data pipeline orchestration using Dagster, Azure Data Factory, and Talend, ensuring efficient data flow between source systems and the platform.
  • Develop and maintain integrations with Postgres, Azure Blob Storage, Lakekeeper, and Trino, optimising for performance, scalability, and cost.
  • Help develop CI/CD pipelines using ArgoCD and manage artefacts via Artifactory.
  • Work within agile squads to deliver iterative value to the platform roadmap, participating in code reviews, sprint planning, and release activities.
