FDM is a
global business and technology consultancy seeking a Change &
Communications Manager to work for an Global Consultancy end client. This
is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will involve
1-2 days/fortnight on client site in London.
The focus of this role will be to help build a change
management function within a new Global Transformation programme and represent
the function across the rest of the business. The function will support the
transformation of a multitude of services, from cloud hoisting to laptop
supply. You will also be responsible for putting in place a Communications
strategy, as well appropriate governance and execution layers as part of this -
ensuring that the function has the right things in the right order and then an
ability to execute against these plans effectively
The
ideal candidate will have proven commercial experience and knowledge in
creation and effective running of a Change Management function across a global
/ international organisation.
Responsibilities:
Establish and Lead the Change Management Function
- Design and implement a
fit-for-purpose Change Management framework to support the new Global
Transformation Programme.
- Define and embed change
methodologies, tools, and governance structures to enable consistent
delivery across multiple service transformations (e.g. cloud hosting,
end-user computing, device supply).
- Develop processes and
standards for stakeholder engagement, impact assessments, readiness
planning, and adoption tracking.
- Act as the change management
subject matter expert, advising programme leads and senior stakeholders on
best practices.
Develop and Deliver the Communications Strategy
- Create a comprehensive
Communications Strategy to support the transformation objectives and
ensure consistent messaging across global teams.
- Define governance and
delivery layers for communications — including approval processes,
cadence, and channel management.
- Partner with the
Transformation Director and programme leads to identify key internal
stakeholders and audiences, developing tailored engagement plans for each.
- Manage the content calendar
and communication outputs (e.g. newsletters, updates, intranet content,
presentations, FAQs).
- Coordinate with external
vendors or communications partners to craft and deliver high-quality
communication materials.
Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management
- Map, analyse, and manage
relationships with internal stakeholders across business units, regions,
and functions.
- Facilitate two-way
communication between the transformation team and impacted business areas
to ensure feedback loops and alignment.
- Support senior leadership in
articulating vision, goals, and progress of the transformation to internal
audiences.
- Serve as a trusted liaison
between the Transformation Office, Communications function, and
third-party partners.
Change Strategy, Planning, and Execution
- Work with the Transformation
Director to define change impact, readiness, and adoption strategies for
each transformation stream.
- Integrate change and
communications planning into overall programme and project plans, ensuring
alignment with delivery timelines.
- Identify and mitigate change
risks and resistance, developing interventions to support adoption.
- Establish success metrics and
feedback mechanisms to measure change effectiveness and inform continuous
improvement.
Collaboration and Capability Building
- Partner with HR, IT, and
other functional leaders to embed change management capability across the
organisation.
- Coach project managers and
business leads on effective change and communication practices.
- Contribute to a sustainable
change management framework that can be leveraged beyond the initial
transformation programme.
