About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Business Analyst to work for our client within the Financial Services sector. This is initially a 12 month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in London.

Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to work within our Corporate Actions and Income Processing team, supporting the delivery of end-to-end solutions. From capturing events to entitlements, elections, payments, and tax processing and using the award‑winning cloud-based platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead working sessions with stakeholders, SMEs, development teams, and external parties to define functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Process and manage voluntary and mandatory events (e.g., dividends, stock splits, mergers, rights issues), ensuring timely, accurate execution. 
  • Analyze and interpret corporate action and income event announcements, calculate entitlements, update positions, and manage income flows. 
  • Liaise with custodians, brokers, and internal teams (tax, accounting, portfolio managers) to confirm event details and validation. 
  • Provide detailed reporting and notifications to portfolio managers and clients on upcoming corporate actions and related implications. 
  • Investigate and resolve client issues within agreed SLAs. Provide support during crisis or incident periods.
  • Apply business-rule governed workflows, rigorous validation, and exception-based processing standards consistent with clients approach.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation of processes and system changes, aligned with regulatory standards. 

About You

  • 1+ years experience in corporate actions and/or income event processing in capital markets or asset servicing firms
  • Proven business analyst experience in financial services; strong domain expertise in announcements, entitlements, elections, and payments
  • Hands-on experience capturing and documentation of business requirements (US/UK tax, entitlements, withholding claims)
  • Technical familiarity with CAIP or similar systems; understanding of ISO 20022, SWIFT messaging
  • Strong collaboration skills: liaising with custodians, brokers, accounting, and client teams
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-engagement abilities
