About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Business Analyst to work for our client within the financial services sector. This is initially a 12 months contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Krakow. 

Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to play a key role in identifying and solving complex business challenges while supporting the delivery of strategic objectives. Working closely with a wide range of stakeholders, you will translate complex information into clear, actionable insights, assess business impacts and risks, and contribute to the design and implementation of effective solutions. You will also support programme delivery through requirements management, impact assessments, and proactive risk mitigation to help drive successful business change.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Identify, define, and solve problems using systemic thinking and creativity.
  • Evaluate the costs, benefits, and potential obstacles of proposed solutions before implementation.
  • Translate complex information into clear, structured, and meaningful communication tailored to different audiences.
  • Drive the requirements management process and design solutions that align with business drivers, competitive strategy, and the target operating model.
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks, provide impact assessments, and raise challenges constructively where appropriate.

About You

  • Proven experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, solution design, and implementation within complex projects.
  • Understanding of the banking, financial services, or shared services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall delivery methodologies, alongside project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across regions and functions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and drive outcomes in changing environments.
