About The Role

FDM is a global technology consultancy that partners with leading organisations to deliver innovative IT solutions. We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our client within the financial services sector on a 12-month employment contract (with possible extension). This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to strengthening financial crime prevention controls while improving processes, simplifying complexity and turning data into actionable insights.
 
You will develop supporting tools, while ensuring high quality analysis of documentation and data. You will lead in reducing risk and providing cost efficiency while maintaining great customer experience.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Initiate and lead the planning and delivery of projects focused on improving products, processes and systems within the organisation and broader value chain.
  • Act as a role model for positive change, fostering a constructive and collaborative working environment.
  • Identify, mitigate, and take ownership of risks to prevent non‑compliance and protect customer experience.
  • Take responsibility for the planning and execution of your own and others’ deliverables, ensuring result‑driven and impactful outcomes.
  • Prioritise work effectively, supporting colleagues and ensuring the right level of service is delivered to customers and partners.
  • Demonstrate strong business and technical understanding within your domain, presenting analytical insights in a clear and accessible way.
  • Drive stakeholder management by communicating clearly and constructively to support strategic direction and alignment on priorities, dependencies and risk reduction.

About You

What we expect: 
 
  • Experience in Financial Crime Prevention, including AML, sanctions, terrorist financing and tax evasion.
  • Experience designing and delivering Transaction Monitoring (TM) controls.
  • Additional experience in KYC and/or Sanctions (desirable)
  • Strong business understanding and data analysis skills.
  • Proficiency with reporting tools such as Power BI.
  • Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into solutions.
  • Experience in Agile environments and change management.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
