About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking Full Stack Software Developers to work for our client within the Financial Services sector. This is initially a 12‑month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Krakow.

Our client is seeking a highly capable engineer who will contribute hands‑on to production code, support the system architecture within a microservice structure, and collaborate globally to drive engineering excellence across teams.

Responsibilities:

Be hands‑on, delivering code to production, supporting the architecture and design of the system aligned to a microservice structure.
Maintain strong awareness of business, engineering and non‑functional requirements to support business growth.
Drive the wider engineering culture expected across global teams.
Collaborate with a global team where coordination activities span multiple regions.
Proactively remove impediments, identify risks and communicate issues to program management.
Identify process inefficiencies and develop innovative, programmatic solutions to eliminate them.

About You

Requirements:

Strong experience in software engineering with proven expertise in designing, developing and deploying backend applications.
Experience delivering code in a microservice architecture.
Experience delivering change to production regularly and at high cadence.
Experience delivering RESTful APIs to production.
Prior experience writing schemas for and working with PostgreSQL databases.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a relevant engineering role.
Experience with Java, preferably with recent experience using the latest versions.
Understanding of containers and container orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes and GCP Cloud Platform.
Experience developing UI applications using ReactJS.
Previous experience working in the financial sector, specifically banking.
