Project Manager- Edinburgh

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Project Manager to support a programme of work within the Financial Services sector. This is initially a fixed term contract for 6 months with strong potential to extend. The role will be hybrid and based in Edinburgh.

This position involves leading and coordinating complex technical remediation initiatives across multiple business areas. You will work closely with both Business and Technology teams to translate intricate technical requirements into clear, actionable project deliverables.

• Manage complex technical remediation projects spanning multiple business lines and workstreams.
• Support infrastructure-focused initiatives, translating complex remediation requirements for both Business and Technology stakeholders.
• Apply creative and analytical problem‑solving approaches, demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence.
• Identify and assess risks and issues throughout delivery, developing appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables and success criteria.
• Monitor and track project progress, providing regular updates to key stakeholders and senior management.
• Foster continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency. 

• Proven experience delivering complex remediation projects.
• Strong understanding of the Financial Services industry and its regulatory landscape.
• Experience working with both Waterfall and Agile project methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams with minimal supervision across business and technology environments.
• Highly proficient with planning tools and experienced in implementing financial control frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex information and influencing stakeholders in cross‑functional environments.
• Life & Pensions experience is desirable but not essential.
