About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Communications & PR specialist to work for our client within the financial services sector. This is a 6 month contract and will be a hybrid role that will be based in London.

Our client is seeking an experienced communications professional to support its Transforming Data Collection (TDC) programme. This is a high‑profile initiative aimed at modernising how the FCA collects, manages and leverages data. The role will focus on developing compelling communications, driving engagement across internal policy teams, and supporting strategic outreach activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver clear, impactful communications that articulate the objectives, benefits and progress of the TDC programme.
  • Lead outreach efforts including stakeholder meetings, workshops and engagement sessions across the FCA.
  • Drive alignment and collaboration across FCA policy areas to ensure cohesive messaging and programme understanding.
  • Work independently while partnering closely with the FCA Communications Lead for strategic direction.
  • Create high‑quality presentations, briefings and messaging packs for senior stakeholders.
 

About You

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in communications, PR, stakeholder engagement or related disciplines
  • Strong understanding of the Financial Services sector and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven experience in communications, PR, and stakeholder engagement, ideally within a regulatory or public‑sector environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to senior audiences.
  • Ability to work autonomously at Manager/Senior Manager level, with minimal supervision.
  • Skilled in producing clear, accessible communications for diverse internal audiences
