About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking Technical Business Analysts to work for our global systems integrator client across a number of different end client programmes and bids. This is initially a 6-month contract with very good prospects to extend. 

We are seeking a number of experienced Technical Business Analysts to partner with business stakeholders, architects, engineers and delivery partners to translate strategic intent into precise, testable requirements, ensuring that digital platforms, data flows, and integrated systems work seamlessly end‑to‑end. 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to elicit, document, and validate business and technical requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear user stories, functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to gather insights and align stakeholders.
  • Operate effectively within a matrix organisation, balancing priorities across business units, product teams, and technology functions.
  • Work as an active member of a Business Analysis capability team, contributing to shared standards, templates, and continuous improvement.
  • Participate fully in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Support iterative delivery by partnering closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and engineering teams.
  • Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and feasibility studies for proposed changes.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, execution, and defect management.
  • Support change management, business readiness, and stakeholder communication activities.
  • Champion data driven decision making through effective use of analytics and reporting tools.
  •  Ensure compliance with regulatory, data privacy, cybersecurity, and internal control requirements.

As part of this requirement, our client is also looking for individuals with any of the following background experience:

  • Workforce management experience - understands rostering, scheduling, work packages, etc.
  • Any AI / Agentic AI experience

About You

  • Degreelevel qualification or equivalent professional experience in a relevant discipline.
  • Professional certification in Business Analysis (e.g. CBAP®, CCBA®, BCS, or equivalent) strongly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Technical Business Analyst, spanning strategy analysis, requirements lifecycle management, solution design, and benefits evaluation in a technology driven or digital environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery models, sprint based workflows, and iterative development.
  • Experience working in a complex, fast paced, matrixed organisational structure with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Comfortable working within a capability team model, contributing to shared BA practices and frameworks.
  • Proficiency with requirements and delivery tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Familiarity with APIs, system integrations, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
  • Ability to create process models, workflows, and documentation using tools like Visio
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong problemsolving ability and commercial awareness.
