About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy, and we are seeking a Senior Delivery Manager to support one of our major insurance clients within their newly established AI (Copilot) Centre of Enablement. This will be an initial 6‑month contract with strong potential to extend and will be based in Edinburgh or Cheshire.

As our client accelerates the adoption of Microsoft Copilot and broader AI capabilities, they're seeking a Senior Delivery Manager to stabilise, structure, and drive delivery. This individual will effectively “put their arms around” the Centre of Enablement, ensuring clarity of priorities, robust governance, and successful realisation of outcomes during a crucial early stage of AI rollout.

The Senior Delivery Manager will lead cross‑workstream orchestration, align stakeholders, embed delivery discipline, and ensure that AI use cases progress from idea to measurable value efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide immediate delivery leadership across the AI (Copilot) Centre of Enablement, ensuring structure, direction, and momentum from day one.
  • Establish and run programme governance (RAID management, reporting, decision forums, KPIs/OKRs).
  • Guide the prioritisation and sequencing of AI/Copilot use cases across business functions.
  • Coordinate teams across product, engineering, data, change, adoption, and business SMEs.
  • Develop delivery roadmaps, milestone plans, dependency maps, and progress reporting frameworks.
  • Align technical workstreams (Copilot enablement, Agentic development, data readiness, security, integration) with adoption and value realisation workstreams.
  • Apply delivery methods appropriately across teams (Agile).
  • Engage senior stakeholders to ensure shared understanding, scope clarity, and value-led delivery.
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies, maintaining RAID logs with clear mitigation plans.

About You

  • 8+ years’ experience in programme or delivery management within complex organisations.
  • Proven track record delivering digital, AI, or enterprise technology programmes.
  • Experience with Microsoft Technologies, cloud platforms, or AI-related initiatives (Copilot experience highly desirable).
  • Confident establishing governance and delivery structure within emerging or fast-moving environments, such as Centres of Enablement.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
