About The Role

FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Service Transition Delivery Manager to work for our client within the telecoms sector. This is initially a 12 month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role based in Leeds, Manchester, Preston, Birmingham or Bristol.

Our client is seeking a Service Transition Delivery Manager with a proven track record of delivering complex, multi‑vendor service transitions. You will lead the transition of services from an incumbent supplier to a new organisation, ensuring contractual obligations, knowledge transfer, and operational readiness are fully achieved.

Responsibilities:

  •  Lead the full service transition from incumbent suppliers, ensuring contractual obligations, knowledge‑transfer activities, and exit requirements are met
  • Build and manage detailed transition plans, roadmaps, RAID logs, and acceptance criteria across a multi‑vendor landscape.
  • Coordinate suppliers, internal teams, and senior stakeholders to maintain alignment, resolve issues, and drive delivery progress.
  • Run governance forums and reporting cycles, providing clear visibility of risks, dependencies, and commercial impacts.
  • Validate documentation, service models, SLAs, and cutover plans to ensure operational readiness ahead of steady‑state handover.
  • Negotiate timelines, access, and deliverables with suppliers while maintaining strong commercial awareness and protecting contractual positions.

About You

  • Proven experience as a Service Transition Manager / Delivery Manager leading service transitions between suppliers.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering complex transition programmes with overlapping vendors.
  • Strong supplier management capability, including contractual interpretation and enforcement.
  • Experience developing and delivering transition roadmaps, cutover plans, and service acceptance criteria.
  • Evidence of driving knowledge transfer, documentation completeness, and service readiness.
